Latino Committee Co-Chairs Elected

Directors Rami Rivera Frankl, Regina Ainsworth,and Alejandro Treviño have been elected co-chairs of the Latino Committee.

The Latino Committee was created as a networking group to advance career and job opportunities for Latino DGA members by improving craft skills, networking, and enhance their job opportunities in both the English and Spanish-speaking media. The Committee meets monthly and schedules several special events throughout the year.

RAMI RIVERA FRANKL

Rami Rivera Frankl has been working in the film, television, and Digital Media for the over twenty years. In 2003, he founded HobokenWest Digital Media and served as its President for 6 years. His directing credits include Kuumba Shule and Courage to Triumph. As an Assistant Director his credits include the feature films Beyond Paradise and 186 Dollars to Freedom, and the episodic series The Dream Team and The Bridge. He currently is President of Sherwood Media Company and is developing TV and Feature properties. He has been a member of the DGA since 2010, and served as a Latino Committee Co-Chair from 2015-2017.

REGINA AINSWORTH

Regina Ainsworth comes from the theatre world and made her transition into filmmaking in 2010, directing spec pilots The Project and Law & Order: The Musical, shorts such as Better Together, and is currently developing the Sci-Fi web-series NIA. She learned the television industry as an executive with Warner Bros., working with over 120 productions in her tenure, including The LeftoversMajor CrimesPretty Little Liars, and Westworld. Regina served as a Co-Coordinator for Proposals for the Woman's Steering Committee, and Events for the Latino Committee, prior to being elected Co-Chair. She joined the DGA in 2015.

ALEJANDRO TREVIÑO

Alejandro Treviño's filmography includes directing and producing episodes of the online series La Chamba and Si! Es I, Pepe, and brand-integrated Denny’s Restaurants video spots for the website Funny or Die. He is also a Production Executive Peer Group committee member at the Television Academy and a graduate of the ITP masters program at NYU Tisch. He has been a member of the DGA since 2013, and served as a Latino Committee Co-Chair from 2015-2017.
